silhouette

wazaaaaaa
its time to get back to summore photographs
less talk,more pictures!
here we have a "silhouette"
(i seriously dontch kno how to spell that word)
of a very masculine girl..
ok ok
eryse is gonna be mad at me for putting this up
for those of u who dont really get the meaning of a silhouette
here's what it is

A silhouette is a view of a object or scene consisting of the outline and a featureless interior, with the silhouetted object usually being black. The term was initially applied in the 18th century to portraits or other pictorial representations cut from thin black card.

The term has been extended to describe the sight or image of a person, object or scene that is backlit, and appears dark against a lighter background. Because a silhouette emphasises the outline, the word has also been used in the fields of fashion and fitness to describe the shape of a person's body or the shape created by wearing clothing of a particular style or period.

and so..
we shot this at my garden using only one 600w studio strobe on a softbox
enough to fit this framing n blasted it at i think 3/4 strength of power
exif data:
shot at F22 with
shutter speed something like 1/100
and at ISO200
camera was set to portrait setting
and a little PP on the final cut.

i was eager to try something new
this was already towards the end of the shoot when i went like,
eryse...!go stand at that lightbox..
now stay...

if u still cant figure out how this looked like
maybe this can help u imagine better..

so there u have it this was my version of a silhouette

oh wait
i have another one of Esti
naa..that'll be my next post..
